When I was
a wee small lad, my brother and I would always find a
copy of the latest "Playhour and Robin" waiting
for us when we visited Grandma and Granddad. Our early
years were filled with the exploits of Num Num, Tommy
Trouble and Bunny Cuddles. As we grew into men, the
pranks of Wizard Weezle, the morphings of Moony and the
antics of Nutty Noddle became fading memories - to the
point at which I would have sworn blind to anyone that it
was Catweazle on the back cover!
And then, oh what joy to stumble across an
old copy of P&R in an Edinburgh shop recently ... and
a copy from our era as well! It was in my eager hand for
two quid and out of its protective wrapper quicker than
you could say "Coojeebear".
So now, for anyone else
who spent a few short years of their innocent childhood
with Sonny and Sally in Happy Valley, I give you a small
corner of the World Wide Web devoted to Playhour and
Robin's finest ...
