WELCOME

We are a local charity in the Leigh on Sea area, of Southend on Sea in Essex, formed in 1990 by five local churches in response to the growing number of people finding themselves homeless in Southend and the surrounding areas. This group has now grown to six churches. After initial consultations with other groups working with the homeless, it was discovered that the provision for young people, who became homeless, through no fault of their own, was particularly deficient. After further research and prayerful consideration it was decided that the representatives would recommend to their churches that a joint community project should be started to address this need.

Serving the Homeless - Registered Charity No. 1018354 - is the result.
